Our Last Post

Hey everyone! We made it home yesterday evening after a fun day in Amsterdam and a couple of good flights. There were definitely some tears leaving the students, but we know that they are in good hands. Thank you so much for all your prayers! Please continue to pray for the students and leaders as they continue on in Bulgaria. Blessings, Abi

The last night at camp

I decided to sneak this in when Abi wasn't looking. Tonight is our list  night at Camp Beklemeto and we ended the night with a talent show. What a blessing that was. These kids had such a good time singing, dancing and playing guitar. We even had a Christian Rapper sing for us. Watching these kids just puts warmth in my heart and I pray they take that positive fun attitude out to the rest of Bulgaria.

We are heading back to Sofia tomorrow morning and will spend one more night in Bulgaria before we start our trip back to the states. We leave the hotel and head to the airport at 4:00am and expect the total trip to take around 23hrs to get back home. I'm looking forward to coming home but I'm going to miss seeing and interacting with these kids. They have  bee such a blessing to  Sheryl and I and I'm sure the whole team.

I look forward to seeing you all  and sharing our experiences hear.  Until then please be praying for safe travels home.

English Camp Day 4

Hey friends! It's hard to believe that we only have one more day of English camp! The past couple days have been filled with fun. American night, English lessons, and Career Club have been met with enthusiasm and increasing interest from the students. It has been great getting to know the students better and seeing how we can help them in their journeys. If you could pray for a great last day of camp, a good closure to our lessons, and safe flights back we would be very appreciative. Blessings.

Day 2 of English Camp

Hello from Bulgaria! I apologize for the lack of posting, the last few days have been a whirlwind! We left for Bulgaria Thursday night and arrived Friday night. The travels went without incident, thankfully. After we arrived we stayed in a nice hotel and got some much needed sleep! After touring Sofia on Saturday, we left for the camp on Sunday. A two and a half hour drive got us there, with only a couple car issues on the way! Our first day of lessons went well, as did the second day. The students really enjoyed some TED talk videos and a debate over travel.

We've been enjoying connecting with all the students. They've been very inclusive and interested in getting to know us, which always helps! We ask that you would pray for deeper connections with these students and new opportunities to share with them. We also ask for your prayer for our team's health. A couple of us have had some stomach issues reacting to the new food and have struggled to get all the sleep we need. As always, thanks for your support! We look forward to sharing more of what the Lord does as the week progresses.

Tomorrow is the Day!

Hello everyone!

Tomorrow we fly out of the US and head to Bulgaria. Please be praying as we all gather our items and prepare for our time overseas. Most travelers know how important it is for everything to be in order (passports, luggage, etc). Check back here daily for updates on all we're doing at camp as I (Abi) try to keep you all in the loop! We so appreciate your prayer and support as we step out in faith.
